About Bright Smiles Mobile Dental

Bright Smiles Mobile Dental was created with a simple but powerful mission: to make high-quality oral health care accessible for people who find it difficult to leave their home.

Whether due to age, disability, chronic illness, or anxiety, many people face barriers to getting the dental care they need. Our award-winning, fully portable service brings dental professionals directly into homes and residential settings across Canberra and regional NSW, delivering gentle, respectful care where it’s most needed.

We’re not a dental van parked outside. We visit the patient’s own space with equipment designed to work safely and effectively from a chair, bedside or wheelchair.

With a conservative approach focused on comfort, function and dignity, we help prevent discomfort, reduce health risks, and support quality of life at every stage. Our patients and their families trust us because we treat each person with compassion, kindness and common sense.

About Brenda Fry

Founder, Dental Hygienist & Compassionate Care Advocate

Brenda Fry is the heart behind Bright Smiles Mobile Dental. Originally from Ireland, she graduated top of her class at University College Cork in 2004 and has spent the past 20 years working across London, Sydney and Canberra in both private practice and public health.

Brenda’s passion for mobile dentistry was born when she saw firsthand how many homebound individuals (particularly seniors) had little or no access to dental care. With encouragement from an aged care dentist mentor and her peers, she launched Canberra’s first private, fully mobile dental service in 2022.

Today, Brenda leads a carefully chosen team of like-minded professionals who share her values: empathy, professionalism and an unwavering commitment to doing what’s right for the patient. Her Celtic charm and calm, friendly manner have made her especially effective with dentally anxious individuals and those living with dementia.

Brenda is a proud member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia (DHAA) and Mobile Dental Providers Australia (MDPA), and in 2024, she was honoured with the Canberra Weekly Social Impact Businesswoman of the Year award for her outstanding contribution to community health.
